About the Summer School
This Summer School offers 8 one-week courses in the fields of health, social work and sports. Interested in just 1 course? No problem. Join us for 1 week of hands-on learning and fun. Want to sign up for 2 or even 3 courses? Even better! Each course leads to 2 ECTS credits and includes a field trip. Some courses in this Summer School are open to all students. So you don’t have to be studying in that field to join up. In fact, that is what makes this Summer School so special. The opportunity to step into unknown territory: a truly rewarding experience. Social activities? We’ve got that covered too. Next to your studies, you can join in with lots of fun social and cultural activities. Like visiting Amsterdam for the weekend. This way you learn more about the Netherlands and Dutch culture while you’re here!
Course fees Summer School (3 weeks)
€ 1300 for exchange students of partner institutions
€ 2650 for students from other institutions
This fee includes
Self-catering accommodation in shared bungalows in Groesbeek at park “De Zeven Heuvelen”
Transfers from Schiphol Airport to your accommodation at set times
Local transportation to and from HAN on week days
Field trips and company visits
Welcome dinner (week 1) and farewell drinks (week 3)
Field trip with overnight stay in Amsterdam (week 1)
Health and liability insurance for the duration of your stay
Course fee per week
€ 400 for exchange students of partner institutions
€ 850 for students from other institutions
This is excluding field trip to Amsterdam (€ 200) and transfer from and to Schiphol Airport.
How to apply
The Summer School is open to undergraduate students from institutions abroad who are studying in the field of health, social work or sports. For non-native speakers your English language skills should be at least at a B2 level. Your home institution will register you. Please see your International Office for more information.
The deadline for applications is 25 January 2019.
Your registration will be official once your home institution has received payment of the course fee.
